Post Malone is one of the most prolific and highly-anticipated artists of the 21st century.
He has been producing music for over 20 years, and is also one of our biggest fans.
The 19-year-old has been a fan of the post Malone era for years now, and we’ve seen him perform on stage with his band The Wailing Band and at The O2 arena as part of our live coverage of the Melbourne Olympics.
But what was the first thing he did after he won the hearts of millions with his first single, ‘I’m So Lucky’ last December?
“I was watching my friends, and they were going to go and watch The Ozzfest in the U.K.,” Post Malone said.
“I’m a big fan of The Ozzy Osbourne era.
I really liked that era.
And then I saw the video of ‘I Am So Lucky’, and I thought, ‘Oh my god, I want to be in that band.’
I was so excited.”
He also started to research his next project, a solo album that he’s been working on for the last year and a half.
“The Ozz Festival, I really enjoyed,” he said.
“(The Ozzy fans) were so excited for me to play there, and I just kind of fell in love with the city of London.
It was a big leap in the right direction, and he’s proud of the results. “
The project is called ‘I AM SO LUCKY’ and it’s basically the same thing, except that I’m so lucky that my life is on the line for me, and it was the right moment to go into it.”
It was a big leap in the right direction, and he’s proud of the results.
“It’s definitely something that’s a new one for me,” he told us.
“But at the same time, it’s just one song, and the song is called I AM SO FUCKING LUCKILY, and you know it.
It’s one of those songs that if you listen to it over and over, you’re just going to get really excited.”
He also has plans for a sequel to the album, which he hopes to be released in 2018.
“That’s just the next step,” he continued.
“And it’s kind of fun to think that I’ll do another album, just because I love music so much.
And there’s so many good songs, and all of my fans are so supportive of my music.
So I think I’m doing a good job of building the world of the music that I make.”
